Using subsoilers is beneficial to keep the air circulating in the soil by breaking the perforated part of the hardpan and underground, and to drain the water in the soil and to drain excess water. If the plow is used continuously for several years in agriculture; Also, the constant use of heavy tractors or heavy implements for other agricultural purposes creates a hard part under the ground, which is called "hardpan". All of this influences crop yields.

The structure of the subsoiler

 There are two types of subsoilers. The first type is a one-thigh subsoilers and the second type is two or more thigh subsoilers. It uses one of these thigh subsoilers for more depth, while it uses two or more thigh subsoilers for slightly shallow depths. The subsoiler is to be used with the three-point linkage of the tractor.
The subsoiler consists of three major parts. The first part is the "thigh" of the subsoiler. The thigh can be straight or curved. So the depth of the subsoiler can be reduced or increased. The second major part is the 'frame'. The thigh of the subsoiler is attached to the frame. It has a sturdy frame that can be attached to three points for use by a subsoiler tractor. The third important part is the "tooth" of the subsoiler. The tooth is attached to the lower end of the thigh. In some subsoilers, the tooth can be replaced after wear.

Use of subsoiler

 When using a subsoiler to break a hardpan, the best results are seen if the soil is hard and dry. Because the ground is dry and hard, when the hardpan penetrates the thigh of the subsoiler, it breaks and loosens the hardpan well. On the other hand, if the ground is moist during the use of the subsoiler, only a large break will fall without breaking the hardpan and it will not be very effective.

Techniques of subsoiler use

 When using a subsoiler to break a hardpan, use a subsoiler in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the field is then planned to be plowed. The center should be attached to the rear side of the subsoiler tractor so that there is no side draft on the tool. Normally a subsoiler should be used at a distance of four feet, if the soil condition is very bad this distance should be kept up to two feet. Sometimes the subsoiler's teeth are slightly crooked to make it easier for the subsoiler to penetrate the ground. When sub-soiling, the distance of sub-soiling should be determined from the estimate of the track width of the front wheels. The weights applied to the front and rear wheels reduce the fall of the wheels and improve the pulling capacity of the tractor.
